Egyptian security forces kill terrorists following deadly attack on tourists

Three tourists and their guide have been killed by a roadside explosion that hit their tour bus near the Giza pyramids.

Egyptian officials said the blast injured 10 others on the bus which was carrying a group of Vietnamese tourists.

According to reports, the bomb was hidden beside a wall and went off as the bus passed by.

The incident happened at about 18:15 (16:45 GMT) on Friday in Giza's Haram district.

Egypt's interior ministry later issued a statement saying police had killed '40 terrorists' during security raids on their hideouts in Giza and North Sinai.

The statement said the militants were planning a series of attacks on tourist sites, churches and military personnel.
