Airlines and cruise lines urged to enter British Travel Awards

Airlines and cruise lines are being urged not to leave it too late to enter this year's British Travel Awards, with the deadline fast approaching.

While tour operators and other sectors have been quick to get themselves listed in the various categories, organisers say the airline and cruise awards are 'still wide open'.

"I'm really pleased with the level of support from the tour operator community and their awards are already very well subscribed," said British Travel Awards CEO Lorraine Barnes Burton.

"The airline and cruise awards are, however, still wide open and what an opportunity! Maybe it's tactical - waiting until the last minute to register to be able to view the competition? But don't leave it too late as nominations close in a few weeks."

She said even being listed on the nomination form is 'incredible exposure' for any brand, with nearly 400,000 holidaymakers voting last year.
