Agents outraged as reality TV star promotes InteleTravel

Former TOWIE star Mario Falcone has been criticised by agents after attempting to recruit agents for homeworking network InteleTravel on his Facebook page.

Agents said it makes a joke of the industry and of the networking group.

Speaking to TravelMole in a video interview last month, InteleTravel president James Ferrara said the group's membership included some celebrities.

Mario Falcone confirmed his role as a mentor to TravelMole but refused to answer questions about whether he has completed InteleTravel's training programmes.

He was suspended from the ITV2 reality show in 2015 for promoting slimming tablets on social media, which goes against ITV rules.

On May 21 of this year he posted a message to his FB followers stating that he was about to launch Maximise Travel. He said he was looking for 50 people to 'mentor'.

Over the next few days he posted a series of photographs of himself in various destinations, all with the same message, which reads: "Would you like to travel and get paid commission back on your holidays, rather than paying that commission to booking companies? Anybody can! Message Maximise Travel to find out how you can produce an income through travelling."

In his original post, Falcone said he had been 'working hard in the background' on his new travel venture. He said this would combine his two passions, business and travel, before going on to ask others to join him.

Falcone emphasised that no experience was needed to join him in his venture and that the role would fit around family and other commitments.

In the About section of the page, said he was offering full mentoring and business support to his team, who could 'travel more and earn more'. He added: "I want to help you travel more for less".

Falcone, a stay-at-home dad to a seven-month-old boy, was in the semi-reality TV programme TOWIE from series three to 15.

After being suspended from the show for promoting slimming tablets he appeared in the reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother.
