Smartvel appoints commercial chief

Smartvel, a destination content technology provider, has appointed Jacqueline Ulrich as chief commercial officer.

Ulrich, who is Swedish but was raised in Spain, previously held senior positions in Amadeus based in Madrid and Miami.

She was also senior vice president of business development EMEA for multinational Accelya.

She speaks seven languages  fluently - Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Catalan and Swedish.

In her new role she will lead Smartvel's business development strategy, which is to grow globally.

Inigo Valenzuela, CEO and founder of Smartvel, said: "Jacqueline is highly experienced with a strong background in travel and we are delighted to announce her appointment. We have set a strong foundation for growth and are now scaling up internationally.

"Jacqueline has a solid commercial track record and valuable relationships to help shape the future of Smartvel at this time of rapid growth."
