Kiwi targets agents with new booking tool

Travel technology firm Kiwi has launched a fully integrated booking tool on its TEQUILA portal, which enables it to offer a complete solution to travel agents.

Kiwi was launched in 2012 to allow travellers to find different flight or transport combinations on chosen routes, displaying all available options according to price.

Launched last year, TEQUILA allows travel agents to access Kiwi's content, technology and services.

The new booking tool will allow those clients who don't have the resources to integrate Kiwi's APIs to buy trips for their customers directly through TEQUILA.

They will be able to book routes and deals available from more than 750 carriers, including airlines, trains, buses, ferries, taxis and ride-hailing services.

Included are 150 service transport operators, such as Deutsche Bahn, the Germany railway company, Eurolines and Greyhound buses in the US.

Kiwi will deal with individual carriers, which, it said, will enable agents to streamline their operations and cut costs.

Agents can now also create a new application to implement the open payments platform Zooz and pay for bookings via company credit cards or use credit cards payments for services inside the booking tool.
