Loganair scraps Southend route

Loganair is to scrap its Glasgow to London Southend route from January 3 2020.

The airline apologised for any inconvenience to affected customers and said they would be contacted and offered a full refund or the chance to re-book with an alternative carrier.

A Loganair spokesman said: "We've made this decision, after much deliberation, due to the high number of low-fare options available in the Glasgow to London market for which our size of aircraft are unsuitable."

Instead, Loganair is upping its services from Glasgow to East Midlands. From 24 February it will operate three times a day, Monday through Friday, leaving Glasgow at 6.55, 14.45 and 18.15.
