Airbnb invests in business travel accommodation provider

Airbnb has invested in Zeus Living, a rent-to-rent business that offers short lets to corporate clients.

Zeus rents unfurnished private homes and re-lets them to travelling professionals for 30 days or longer.

Launched in 2015, it now manages about 2,000 units, all in the US. These homes will now be advertised by Airbnb, which is looking for more options for its growing number of business travellers.

"We have great alignment with the Airbnb team in terms of serving the changing needs of business travellers that want the comforts of home when travelling for extended 30-day stays for work or a project," said Zeus Living's CEO, Kulveer Taggart.

Airbnb is now worth an estimated $30 billion and says an average two million people stay in an Airbnb every night.

It boasts more than five million listings in 191 countries on its platform.
