No need to give up Veganuary on the slopes

Ski chalet company Ski Beat is encouraging those going vegan this month with some tempting non-meat menus in its 59 chalets.

Ski Beat's Veganuary ski holidays depart throughout January with package holidays from £499pp, saving up to 30%.

The seven-night ski holidays include cooked vegan breakfast, afternoon tea with home-made vegan cakes and three-course vegan evening meals, free of meat, dairy and other animal products, return flights and transfers.

Non-vegan partners and friends accompanying will be offered Ski Beat's regular menu.

Over 250,000 people are expected to take part in Veganuary 2020, while the number of vegans in the UK has quadrupled during the past five years.

Ski Beat sales and marketing director  Laura Hazell said: "Ten years ago it was rare for our guests to request a meat-free diet but now our chalet staff are trained to prepare and serve meals free from animal products, learning how to prepare vegan breakfasts, homemade vegan cakes, and three course evening meals.

She added "Our aim is to ensure all of our guests eat heartily and healthily, and that our hosts cater for food preferences and intolerances."
