Snow romance

Blue skies, fresh air, breathtaking views, and the chance to cosy up each night in front of a log fire...a ski trip is perfect for a romantic break. With Valentine's Day fast approaching, we asked ski chalet specialist VIP SKI to pick five mountain experiences that will make your clients' hearts grow fonder.

Take a hot air balloon trip in Avoriaz. The views are stunning and, as you glide over the forests, you might even spot deer and other wildlife below.
Stay at VIP SKI's Chalet Kakisa. Prices start at £1,049 based on two people sharing. This includes return flights from London to Geneva with coach transfer on chalet board basis.

Dine in a yurt in Val d'Isere. You'll be whisked to a secret woodland location for a fireside aperitif, under a starlit sky, followed by a~typical Savoyard meal in a cosy Mongolian yurt.
Stay at the Loft 2 Aspen House, new for this season and with just two bedrooms, both en-suite. Prices start at £1,669pp, based on two people sharing, including chalet board basis, return flights from London to Geneva and transfers to the resort.

Brave a nighttime luge trip in La Plagne. Couples can hurtle together down the 450 meter descent on the Superluge Derby, used an Olympic training ground. Sledge, helmet, vin chaud or hot chocolate and return transport from the resort is included.

Skate under the stars in Lech. Every Wednesday evening the natural ice rink in Zurs, in the Austrian resort of Lech, opens for skating at candlelight. 
Stay at the Hotel Theodul on the main high street, just a short stroll to the main ski lifts and resort centre. Prices start at £1,200pp, based on two people sharing. This includes return flights from London to Friedrichshafen, airport transfers and chalet board catering.

Go dog sledding in Alpe d'Huez. Drive your own team of huskies and glide through a glistening winter wonderland.
Stay at Eden East, a ski-in, ski-out chalet in the Fontbelle area of Alpe d'Huez. Bedrooms open out onto balconies. Guests are served Champagne and canapes on the first and last night. A seven-night stay costs from £1,569pp based on two people sharing a room on chalet board basis. Price includes return flights and transfers.

VIP SKI also offers a Platinum Service with private transfer, dedicated chef, bespoke a la carte menus, sommelier selected wines, port, handmade chocolates and complimentary bar filled with the client's favourite goodies. Clients can even upgrade to a helicopter to whisk them from the airport to their luxury chalet.
