EasyJet warns of long wait times as two call centres close

EasyJet is warning of long wait times to speak to its calls centre staff after being forced to temporarily close its call centres in India.

It said it had been forced to close its centres in Mumbai and Delhi due to movement restrictions imposed locally.

"This has created increased demand on our remaining six call centres across Europe and Africa which are open but we are seeing a reduction of staff in some locations,it said.

It is advising customers to find the latest information and manage their bookings online.

"Customers can contact our call centre if they need to speak to an advisor however they should be aware that call volumes are higher and as such waiting times will be longer than usual," it said. "We're sorry for any inconvenience this will cause our customers during these difficult times."
