Co-operative Travel agents launch fun campaign to help with home schooling

The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel have launched a new social media campaign to help with home schooling following recent school closures.

A series of social posts have featured cartoon character 'Tom The Traveller' with travel-themed games such as word searches, spot the difference, and flag quizzes.

The content was made available for each agent to share with customers via their own social channels.

The puzzles were subtly branded with The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel logo.

One agent, David Russo, has seen his Facebook post engagement increase by 19% since the initiative began with his sharing of the 'Tom The Traveller' posts reaching more than 4,462 unique users.

Sheena Whittle, head of The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel. said: "The situation the industry finds itself in is a huge challenge, particularly for self-employed homeworkers. We have increased our support to ensure we can keep our agents but the support also extends to emotional and financial. The camaraderie has been heart-warming with the team sharing many acts of kindness.

"Social media initiatives like the engaging 'Tom The Traveller' educational assets are one way for our agents to pass on the kindness and help their followers with children at home, which have been extremely well received."
