Video: Malta outlines plans to welcome back tourists

Malta hotes are looking at offering special deals to kick start its tourism industry, but there has been no date set for when British holidaymakers will be allowed to return.

The country's UK and Ireland tourism director Tolene van der Merwe said she doesn't see Malta increasing prices for the time being. However, she said the price of flights will depend on the airlines.

Malta is still expecting to attract visitors in July and August and it is hoping it will do well in the winter sun market.

The tourist board is focusing its marketing on the back end of 2020 and on 2021, she said.
