Expedia rolls out travel advisor incentives

Expedia Partner Solutions has launched a new agent incentive program to help travel partners make the most of the travel industry revival.

New sign-ups to Expedia TAAP (Travel Agent Affiliate Program) will get a fast-track membership at 'silver tier', instead of the usual 'standard tier.'

Expedia Partner Solutions says it will enable agents to earn up to 42% more in revenue, and sell more with discounted package rates.

It says combined accommodation and transport bookings are discounted by an average 20%.

Expedia is also introducing a range of customized incentives for active Expedia TAAP partners.

"We're seeing green shoots of recovery for US domestic purchases. Through our Expedia TAAP incentive program, any agency in the United States - whether they are already working with us or not - can respond quickly to this rising demand," said Alfonso Paredes, SVP of commercial partnerships at EPS.

"Cooperation is more important than ever to get our industry back on its feet."

For customer peace of mind, EPS says more than 70% of lodging rates on Expedia TAAP are now refundable.

Additionally, a range of 'traveler safety' features are being rolled out which outline which properties have implemented 'new normal' health and safety protocols like contactless check-in and check-out, whether hand sanitizers are available to guests and any enhanced cleaning measures.

Expedia TAAP works with more than three million agents in over 30 countries worldwide offering access to more than 700,000 accommodation options, and over 70,000 bookable activities.
