Join Just a Drop's virtual Christmas concert

Just a Drop is holding a virtual Christmas Concert to raise money for its worldwide projects.

The concert will be hosted by Just a Drop's Patron, Alastair Stewart OBE, and will feature a number of renowned choirs and acts such as the Treorchy Male Voice Choir, Vocal Dimensions, Wimbledon Choral Society, Wiltshire Wailers and Offbeat Choir.

They will perform alongside students from Pembrey Primary School in South Wales and the Coop Academy in Failsworth, as well as choirs from the communities around the world that have benefited from Just a Drop's work.

In addition, author, translator, journalist and Hispanist Adam Feinstein will join Nicaragua's Ambassador to the UK, HE Guisell Morales-Echaverry, to showcase the stunning poetry from the Central American country.

Tickets cost £10 and the concert will be available on the Just a Drop website from Thursday 17 December until the New Year.

Once tickets are booked, Just a Drop will send a song sheet so people can join in from the comfort of their own home.

In the face of the Coronavirus pandemic, Just a Drop's work has become even more critical.

The charity has provided hand-washing facilities and soap to local markets to enable them to stay open, maintaining livelihoods and consistent food supplies in addition to helping stop the spread of the virus.

It has also purchased PPE and provided handwashing and soap-making facilities to healthcare centres to protect medical staff and patients.

Having purchased motor bikes, the charity's local teams have been visiting villages, towns and marketplaces to raise more awareness and understanding of the dangers of Covid-19 by answering questions and distributing educational leaflets.

Book tickets here.
