Eurotunnel Le Shuttle offers affordable Covid-19 testing

Eurotunnel Le Shuttle is offering passengers affordable Covid-19 testing starting at £57 for pre-departure and arrival.

In partnership with testing company Prenetics, passengers travelling with Eurotunnel Le Shuttle can make use of the discounted price for at home test kits for the whole family.

Test kits can be booked through the Eurotunnel website and can either be sent to the passenger's home address, or they can visit one of the 20 UK locations to take the test in-person.

For those taking an at home test, customers will receive step-by-step guidance on the Prenetics website and then send their sample via a return envelope to an accredited Prenetics lab.

For both, results will be sent within 24 hours of receipt of the test at the laboratory via email or notification on the website.

Deborah Merrens, Chief Commercial Officer at Eurotunnel said: "We are delighted to be able to offer our customers a straightforward way to meet the current testing requirements.  We know that whilst holidaymakers are desperate to get away, safety is paramount and our collaboration with Prenetics makes the testing process as stress free as possible."

Eurotunnel Le Shuttle says it is witnessing an increase in bookings and hopes that France will be included in the green list by the main summer holiday period.

PCR Fit to Travel tests cost £104.50 for an in person test at one of Project Screen's local Covid-19 test pods and for people returning home, Day 2 and Day 8 tests are  priced at £155.80.
