Emirates suspends India flights again

Gulf carrier Emirates has extended the suspension of passenger flights from India until at least the end of June. Although slowly falling, India reported more than 3,000 Covid-related deaths and more than 150,000 new cases in the past day.

It will have a significant impact on business and recruitment for UAE companies as millions of Indians are employed in the UAE. The flights suspension first came into force in April.

UAE nationals, holders of UAE Golden Visas and members of diplomatic missions are able to travel, the airline said.

Ticket holders may change for flights on a later date, Emirates said.
