Nintendo museum to open in Kyoto

Japanese video gaming giant Nintendo plans to open a Nintendo museum in one of its old factories. It will be housed in the Nintendo Uji Ogura Plant in Kyoto, which was used to make playing cards. The factory has been vacant since closing five years ago.

Nintendo started life as a playing card manufacturer more than a century ago. The museum has been given the interim name of the Nintendo Gallery, and will showcase the company's history from old playing card exhibits to modern gaming experiences. It is expected to open in 2024.
