TUI joins airlines suing government

As the travel industry joins forces to protest government inaction, TUI has added its name to the list of airlines planning to sue the government over its traffic light travel system.

TUI managing director Andrew Flintham said it was an 'inexplicable' decision to take Portugal off the green list and not add low-risk destinations like the Greek and Balearic Islands.

TUI joins Virgin Atlantic, Ryanair, British Airways's parent company IAG, and the Manchester Airport Group in suing the government. Ryanair boss Michael O' Leary called the government's international travel policy a 'shambles.'
