Ryanair adds 200,000 seats to Malta and the Balearics

Responding to the UK's updated green list, Ryanair added 200,000 extra seats from the UK to Malta, Ibiza and Palma for July, August and September.

Malta and the Balearic Islands were among the new destinations added to the green list for quarmtine-free travel.

Ryanair also called on Grant Shapps to add Cyprus, the Canaries and the Greek Islands, where Covid case rates are equally low, according to the airline.

"This announcement is a small step in the right direction and while we welcome the addition of Malta and the Balearics, we urge the Govt to immediately add equally safe destinations and also to immediately allow vaccinated UK and EU citizens to travel freely without restrictions," said Ryanair's Dara Brady.
