Barbados ready to welcome Brits

Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) applauded its inclusion on the UK's safe travel green list of destinations, and outlined protocols for UK travellers.

It comes within a few weeks of Barbados announcing its new entry protocols, which are split into two entry processes - for fully vaccinated' and unvaccinated visitors.

Firstly, all inbound visitors are required to present a negative PC test result on arrival.

Vaccinated travellers will undergo another test and must isolate in approved accommodation for two days pending a negative result.

They are then free to explore Barbados.

Unvaccinated travellers are expected to complete a five-fay quarantine and will be released after a negative test result at the end of the quarantine period.

Full entry protocols can be found at: www.barbadostravelprotocols.com

"Making the green list is testament to the marriage between the work of the public health officials and the tourism officials in ensuring there are safe border protocols that govern entry into the country," said Minister for Tourism and International Transport, Senator Lisa Cummins.
