Radisson adding seven hotels in Italy


Radisson Hotel Group will double its premium footprint in Italy with a host of new openings in key destinations.

Radisson will open new hotels in Milan, Venice, Florence, Sicily, and Piedmont.

It announced the signing of seven new hotels in top tier locations as part of the group's expansion plans.

Set to open in 2021, the new properties include two premium lifestyle Radisson Collection hotels in Milan and Venice, the debut of latest brand, Radisson Individuals with two properties in Piedmont and Sicily, two new Radisson hotels in Ferrara and Nola, as well as Radisson Blu's latest hotel in Florence.

Radisson Collection hotels in Venice and Milan will open their doors this summer, in time for the reopening of international travel as announced recently by the Italian government.

The opening of Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice and Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Touring Club Milan will bring the total number of Radisson Collection properties in Italy to six.

Radisson Collection is the group's premium lifestyle brand.

Chema Basterrechea, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Radisson Hotel Group said: "We have grown exponentially from three to close to 20 hotels in just a few years. We are extremely grateful to our local partners and see these openings as a positive signal for the recovery of the hotel industry in Italy."

Radisson Blu Hotel, Florence, opening 1 December 2021, will feature 329 rooms and suites, as well two restaurants and a bar with full dining facilities.

It also features meeting spaces divided into 10 meeting rooms, a outdoor pool, two tennis courts, and a fully equipped gym.

The new Radisson Individuals band will debut in Italy with the opening of two properties in Sicily and Piedmont, in partnership with the Mira Group.
