Langkawi plans reopening for fully vaccinated visitors

Malaysia's northern island chain Langkawi will welcome travellers again who have received both jabs. Langkawi is expected to allow visitors from September as Kedah state pushes to have 80% of the islands' population vaccinated.

Acknowledging that Langkawi hotels 'are in a very bad state' a September reopening is possible  with assistance from the Ministry of Tourism and continued vaccination progress, said Kedah minister Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.
