Cruise ships returning to Costa Rica in September

Cruise ships will be able to dock in Costa Rica in September, the Tourism Board has announced. From 1 September it will welcome ships with all crew members and at least 95% of adult passengers vaccinated.

It will be a boon for the pots of Limon, Puntarenas, Caldera, Quepos and Golfito, Tourism Minister Gustavo Segura, says. He said cruise passengers spent an average of $137 per day pre-Covid.

The Tourism Board says nine cruise lines have added Costa Rica to their 2021-22 cruise schedules.
