Amber list quarantine to be scrapped for vaccinated Scots

Scotland is joining England in allowing fully vaccinated travellers skip self-isolating on their return   from amber list countries. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced the change to quarantine requirements which take effect on the same day - 19 July.

The change means double-jabbed Scots returning from Greece, Spain, the US, France and many other countries will avoid automatically self-isolating. The Scottish government is still advising against all non-essential overseas travel.

It is expected to give the travel industry a timely boost.
