Three more Thai islands open for international tourists

The second phase of Thailand's tourism 'sandbox' has begun with three more holiday islands opening for vaccinated foreign tourists. Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao have reopened.

They opened despite high levels of Covid across the country with  some micro-lockdowns still in effect.

Visitors arriving in Koh Samui must stay at an approved hotel for a week and may leave the hotel on the fourth day. They can then travel to Koh Tao or Koh Phangan after their first week pending  a negative Covid test result.
