Malaysia Airlines selling off Airbus A380 fleet

Malaysia Airlines confirmed that it plans to sell its redundant Airbus A380 superjumbos. It issued a tender notice for interested parties. Up for grabs are six long grounded A380-800 aircraft.

It had decided the superjumbos were surplus to requirements even before the global pandemic decimated international travel.

It follows the completion of the debt restructuring plan for parent company Malaysia Aviation Group Bhd. It is seeking proposals for the aircraft by 12 August, 2021.
