New Zealand postpones trans-Tasman bubble

New Zealand has suspended its quarantine-free travel bubble arrangement with Australia in its entirety. It will be paused for at least eight weeks, NZ Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said. 

Travel bubble flights to and from New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia had already been paused to due to lockdown restrictions in those states.

The New Zealand government said it will operate flights for New Zealanders returning from all Australian states and territories for the next week.

Other than these flights, Qantas and Air New Zealand said most other Australia-New Zealand services would be cancelled from July 31, apart from a handful of services for essential travel.
