Wizz Air takes off again from Doncaster Sheffield Airport

Wizz Air UK has taken to the skies once again from Doncaster Sheffield Airport.

Tickets for its flights to Poznan, Kosice, Alicante and Burgas are available now online or via the mobile app.

With entry requirements varying from country to country, Wizz Air has made it easier for passengers to check the relevant travel rules with its enhanced Travel Planning Map.

The colour-coded map, which is now available to use on mobile devices, is automatically updated daily and includes a checklist of country-specific testing, quarantine, and test certificate requirements.

Owain Jones, Managing Director of Wizz Air UK, said: "After much preparation we are excited to be officially restarting flights from our Doncaster Sheffield base. We remain committed to providing direct connections to the region and look forward to welcoming local passengers back onboard."

As it ramps up capacity, the airline is looking to recruit crew members across its network, including at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.

Doncaster Sheffield Airport has welcomed the restart of scheduled services by Wizz Air.

"It's great news that Wizz Air has resumed flights to these popular European destinations. The removal of quarantine restrictions for double-vaccinated inbound passengers is a step in the right direction," said Chris Harcombe, the airport's Managing Director.
