Construction begins on world's largest Legoland in China

Work has begun on what will be the world's largest Legoland theme park complex in Shenzhen, China. The $1 billion project will consist of nine themed areas, with more than 100 rides, a 1,000 seat theatre, a water park and three Lego-themed hotels totalling more than 1,000 guestrooms.

It is expected to open in 2024 on the Dapeng Peninsula on the eastern edge of Shenzhen. It will have traditional Legoland attractions as well as new attractions and shows specifically tailored to the China market.
