Fiji on track to reopen borders in November

The Fiji government recently unveiled plans to fully reopen its borders to international tourists in November. By then it expects at least 80% of its adult population to be fully jabbed.

The government says over 97% of the target population have received at least one dose. Tourism is the biggest industry and employs about 100,000.

"Everybody's really keen to get things back up and running and started again, and Fiji is ready and waiting for tourists," said Tourism Fiji CEO Brent Hill.
