WOW Air looks to expand in secondary US cities

Icelandic low-cost airline WOW Air is looking to add secondary US cities to its network after establishing routes to and from key destinations.

The Reykjavik-based airline recently launched transatlantic services to Montreal, Washington D.C, Toronto, Boston, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami.

Last week it announced the start of flights to and from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for next summer, linking with services from London Gatwick and Edinburgh in the UK.

Founder and CEO Skuli Mogensen said now that these key cities are in place, it would be looking to add services linking to smaller, secondary cities, on both sides of the Atlantic.

But speaking to at this week's World Travel Market in London, he refused to say which destinations were top of the list.
