Kimpton Hotels to debut in Mexico

IHG is bringing boutique brand Kimpton to Mexico City.

It will debut in 2020 with two hotels in the neighborhood of Polanco.

Both are adaptive reuse projects and will feature 32 and 48 guestrooms respectively.

They will each offer a restaurant and rooftop bar, as well as signature Kimpton amenities like complimentary bikes, yoga mats in each room, hosted social events.

"Polanco will be home to Kimpton's first two boutique hotels in the country and illustrates our continued growth in the Americas. We look forward to bringing Kimpton's irreverent spirit to life,2 said Kimpton CEO, Mike DeFrino.

Owner real estate investment fund ZKC is developing the hotels in partnership with VineTower Development, LLC.

Mauricio Khalifa, partner for ZKC said: "These two projects will complement but be distinct from one another. We're excited to marry Kimpton's expertise with our deep knowledge of the region."
