Delta launching Bogota flights from New York

Delta Air Lines is adding a new daily route to the Colombian capital Bogota.

Year-round flights to Bogota from New York JFK begin December 21 on Boeing 757-200 aircraft.

The aircraft offers 20 first class seats, 29 Delta Comfort+ and 150 main economy seats.

"We are looking forward to providing daily nonstop service to the largest Colombian community living in the US," said Ricardo Garnica Montoya, Delta's sales manager for Colombia.

"This route is important for Delta's growth in the region as we continue to connect Latin America and the world."

Delta also flies to Bogota from its Atlanta hub.

The Atlanta-Bogota route is being upgraded to meet demand with larger Boeing 767-300ER jets from October 27, 2019 through March 31, 2020.

Delta's Boeing 767-300ER jets can accommodate up to 226 passengers.

The carrier also flies to Cartagena from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson.
