AirAsia rolls out unlimited flight pass for Malaysians

AirAsia hopes to stimulate Malaysia's domestic tourism recovery with a new flight pass offering unlimited trips.

It introduced the AirAsia Unlimited Pass Cuti-Cuti Malaysia, priced at RM399 for travel between June 25 to March 31, 2021.

It is available for all Malaysian BIG loyalty members.

The pass covers 16 domestic destinations, including Kula Lumpur,  Langkawi, Penang, Johor Baru, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Tawau.

Flight bookings must be made at least 14 days before planned departure.

"Reviving the travel and tourism industry will need to be a collective effort, and we look forward to working together with all tourism stakeholders from hoteliers to travel agents to achieve this objective," said chief executive officer Riad Asmat.

"By travelling domestically, we can all support the local communities and contribute to rebuilding our economy."

Domestic inter-state travel has just resumed under the recovery movement control order (RMCO) phase.

"We hope consumer confidence will rebound and people will start to travel again," said Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) president Datuk Tan Kok Liang.
