Expedia in online travel deal with John Lewis

Expedia Private Label has struck its first deal with a non-travel retailer to offer online travel services.

The company is a partner in www.greenbee.com developed by Waitrose parent John Lewis Partnership as a direct service business offering a range of travel, financial and leisure services.

Dynamic packaging will be provided through Expedia as travel partner for the new site.

Expedia Private Label managing director Karen Bohannon said: “Expedia Private Label is pleased to offer the John Lewis Partnership the levels of expertise and industry knowledge that they needed from a travel partner for the launch of this exciting new venture.

“As importantly, we offer the widest range of travel options, combined with the levels of support that a John Lewis or Waitrose customer has come to expect from those brands.  A Greenbee customer can be sure that their booking is carried out with the highest quality, security, and service standards in the travel industry – and therefore John Lewis Partnership can be confident that the Expedia Private Label partnership will enhance their strong consumer brands.”

Expedia Private Label already runs private label offerings for Eurostar, Swiss Air Lines, and Formula1.com.
