Business travel: conditions worse than ever

Business travel is more difficult than it was two years ago with flight delays and cancellations the cited as the biggest pet peeves, according to a new survey.

Orbitz for Business says that was the result of their first “Take 5 Survey” aimed at understanding how corporate travelers feel about today’s travel.

Ø       Eighty-six percent found business travel as difficult or more so than it was two years ago.

Ø       Eighty percent now book business travel online with nearly 70 percent saying they’ve had positive experiences.

Ø       Along with flight delays and cancellations, security lines and carry-on restrictions are the top complaints.

Ø       Most US corporate travelers conduct their business travel primarily within North America (93 percent).

Ø       Twelve percent plan to travel to China or India, two rapidly growing international markets, for business purposes in the next year.
