South Australia offers something remarkable

AAT Kings has launched its new and revamped 2008/2009 Southern Australia brochure which features a range of exciting touring options through New South Wales, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory and South Australia.

AAT Kings says that their Southern Australia program showcases top Australian experiences, including wine tasting in the Barossa Valley, bush walking in national parks, touring the sights of the city of Adelaide and enjoying the scenery of the Great Ocean Road.

Les Cox, AAT Kings managing director said,” The new selection now offers travel from Sydney to Adelaide, and Adelaide to Sydney, so travellers can fly in and take a tour home, or tour first and fly home."

New for this year is an upgraded two-night stay on fabulous Kangaroo Island on every tour over five days.  Kangaroo Island is Australia’s third largest Island and is home to many endangered species. Visitors can spot koalas, watch seals and sea lions lazing on the shores and observe birdlife, including the rare Glossy Black Cockatoo.

Other highlights include the geological phenomena, Remarkable Rocks. These surreal, yet naturally sculptured formations, precariously balance atop a granite outcrop like Salvador Dali sculptures, creating a wonderful outdoor gallery for travellers to explore.

The 2007/08 Southern Australia brochure also features Early-Eagle Savings for passengers who book and deposit on their fully escorted holiday by 31 October 2007, with Early-Eagle offers reflecting savings of up to $380 per couple off the tour price, for travel after 1 January 2007.

Popular tours include:

The six-day Ocean and Island Escape from $1850 per person, twin share (land only) which visits the Great Ocean Road, Port Campbell National Park, Mount Gambier, The Coorong, Kangaroo Island and Adelaide. Early eagle savings of $190 per couple are available on this holiday.

The 13-day Grand Southern Discovery, priced from $3615 per person, twin share (land only) which visits Canberra, Melbourne, the Great Ocean Road, Mt Gambier, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, the Barossa Valley and the Blue Mountains. Early eagle savings of $380 per couple are available on this holiday.

The  five-day Adelaide and Kangaroo Island Independent Short Break, from $950 twin share (land only) which includes a day to sightsee in Adelaide, a tour and lunch in the Barossa Valley, an overnight on Kangaroo Island and a visit to Flinders National Park.

All tours are valid for travel from 1 January 2008 until 31 March 2009.
