UNESCO app launch could enhance agent customer service

Agents looking to add value to their service can now advise iPhone users that they can download a new World Heritage Sites application providing a guide to all 911 UNESCO sites around the world.

The information on the app should prove useful to holidaymakers travelling near to any of the sites as it holds a mountain of detail about each one.

Data is taken from the official UNESCO guidebook and features location maps of all the sites, 650 pictures, the facility to view and search sites by name, country or classification plus users can bookmark favourite sites and plot them on Google maps.

The app, which can also be viewed on an iPad, is updated each year as UNESCO announces more sites and links to the official UNESCO website. It costs £4.99 from iTunes.
