Heathrow gets Heston, Gatwick gets Nando's

Just days after Heathrow revealed it was getting a new swanky restaurant by celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal, Gatwick has announced its latest culinary addition.

Based on feedback from passengers, Gatwick will become the first airport home of popular fast-food chicken chain Nando's.

A favourite with the likes of Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, this year's X factor contestants, and even Prince Harry, Nando's will open in South Terminal next summer.

Recent research saw the brand hit the top spot for restaurant chains passengers would like to visit at the airport, with 33% asking for it.

Nando's Gatwick will operate around 20 hours a day, between 4am and 12.00am, so passengers can tuck into its famous flame-grilled Peri-Peri chicken for breakfast, lunch or dinner before they fly.
