New Web site for comprehensive travel planning

Yellow Pages Corporation launched YELLOWPAGES Travel, a tool enabling users to search a dozen Web sites side by side on one screen without having to search each one individually, the company announced.

The operator of popular online YellowPages sites and telephone books, the company says users can now compare sites such as Expedia, Travelocity and Orbitz all at the same time.

" has found the solution for travelers that are tired of searching over a dozen travel websites looking for bargains," says the site.

For travelers that want to search only two websites side by side, the site offers a feature called "Search Both" where any two travel websites are placed side by side on one screen.

The technology was obtained from a subsidiary company called in which Google & Yahoo are placed side by side on one screen.

  • awful

did Travel Mole look at this site before posting this story? First of all, the technology isn't that exciting - it seems like the same thing bookingbuddy has done for a long time now. Second, the home page forces annoying audio on you that just keeps going on and on, resulting in a horrible user experience.

  • mea culpa

I wrote about their awful forced audio on the home page (which I commented on here), and guess what? They actually wrote back and have decided to take it down. I take back what I said about them, and who cares if bookingbuddy does the same thing, a little competition is good.
