North America specialist AWWT has expanded its Great Lakes USA programme to include two new itineraries for 2013.
The tour operator has added 'The Grand Tour of the Great Lakes' and 'Illinois' Great River Road', both of which start and end in Chicago, Illinois.
The Grand Tour is a 16 day itinerary which includes the Wisconsin Dells, shopping at Mecca in Minneapolis and a visit to beautiful Traverse City, near the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore on Lake Michigan.
Illinois' Great River Road is a 12 day tour which follows part of the iconic Route 66. It includes state capital Springfield, home of the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln and retraces the footsteps of French explorers.
Sarah Punter, Manager of AmeriCan and Worldwide Travel comments: 'We have included the Great Lakes USA itinerary in our programme to meet the increasing interest in new and exciting USA destinations from both our repeat and new customers alike'
