Further flight cancellations due to Turkey's adverse weather

Turkey prepares for a second day of disruption as thunderstorms lead to further flight cancellations.

Turkish Airlines has cancelled 63 flights today, 20 outgoing and 43 incoming to Istanbul Ataturk airport.

Due to adverse weather conditions, Istanbul Atatürk Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport were closed to all arrival and departure flights yesterday afternoon.

Turkish Airlines was forced to cancel 201 flights across Istanbul Ataturk, Milas Bodrum, Ankara and Anatalya airports.

As TravelMole went to press, a spokesman for the airline said: "Currently we continue to operate a large part of them and all of them will be started to operate by this afternoon."

British Airways said at this point all flights were operating normally.
