The chief executives of Thomas Cook and International Airlines Group (IAG) have agreed to share their expertise to improve the UK's global trade performance.
Harriet Green and Willie Walsh join a group of top UK executives on the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC)'s International Advisory Council.
Chaired by Lord Green of Hurstpierpoint, former Minister of State for Trade and Investment, the IAC has a particular focus on the export potential for the UK business community as it seeks to improve its international trade performance.
The business experts will advice the BCC on international trade issues - a key priority for the business group and its thousands of members.
The Council also includes Rolls Royce chairman Ian Davis and Ernst & Young chairman and managing director UK and Ireland Steve Varley.
Green said: "It is a genuine privilege, and a reflection of the continued relevance and importance of the Thomas Cook brand, that we can help play a part in driving growth in markets across the world.
"I look forward to representing not only our great company, but also the travel industry as a whole by taking this opportunity to make our voice heard at the very highest level."
