That Festival Feeling in Colorado

A Colorado summer can be short, but there are plenty of ways to make it sweet, especially if you pack it with as many festivals as possible. June marks the start to Colorado's one-of-a-kind summer festival season. With mild temperatures and gorgeous blue skies, summer celebrations don't get better than this. We've outlined a few of the finest Colorado summer festivals to help you get started on planning the ideal summer holiday.


Telluride Bluegrass Festival: 18-21 June, Telluride

This June, music lovers from around the globe will come together at the world-renowned bluegrass festival in Telluride for four days of toe-tapping, carefree-dancing and music-loving fun. This year's performers include John Butler Trio, Telluride House Band, Trampled by Turbles, Kacey Musgraves and Yonder Mountain String Band, just to name a few.


Food & Wine Classic: 19-21 June, Aspen

Each year, the world's most accomplished winemakers, celebrity chefs, and culinary experts come together in one breathtaking setting.   Don't miss the opportunity to experience the pinnacle of good taste, mingle with stars, and enjoy a pleasure-packed weekend at the base of spectacular Aspen Mountain.


Stopover Festival: The Gentlemen of the Road Tour - 21-22 August, Salida

Salida, Colorado is known for white-water rafting and other outdoor pursuits, but after this summer it will also be known for its music scene. The Gentlemen of the Road Tour will stopover in the small Colorado mountain town August 21 - 22, 2015. The Festival will be headlined by British artists Mumford and Sons and The Vaccines.


Colorado State Fair: 28 Aug - 7 Sept, Pueblo

The Colorado State Fair in Pueblo expertly combines lively entertainment, thrilling competitions, intriguing vendor booths and old-fashioned family fun. Serving fair fare such as Pueblo green chillies, funnel cakes, deep-fried Snickers and other hearty treats, you'll want to be sure to bring your appetite. The music festival features big names in Country Music such as Tracey Lawrence and Chase Rice.


A Taste of Colorado: 4-7 September, Denver

A Taste of Colorado stands proud as the end-of-summer celebration of community pride and spirit in the Denver region. Over 500,000 people make the four-day Festival their Labor Day Weekend celebration and enjoy the offerings of over 50 area food establishments, 250 marketplace artisans and vendors, six entertainment stages, and educational programs promoting the diverse cultural and western heritage of the region.
