Regal Princess to be focus of new TV documentary

A six-part ITV documentary set on board a Princess Cruises ship will be aired from Thursday, March 3.

'The Cruise' will reveal what life is like for crew and guests on board the 3,560-passenger Regal Princess as she sails through northern Europe and Russia.

The programme, which is voiced by Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville, has been made by Wild Pictures, a UK factual documentary maker.

The production team were given unique access into the day-to-day roles of the 1,400-strong crew working on the 114,000-tonne, 19-deck ship.

Tony Roberts, Princess Cruises' vice president UK and Europe, said: "We are thrilled to have taken part in this ITV documentary and can't wait for viewers to see Regal Princess, and her fantastic crew, in action.

"Meanwhile Hugh Bonneville will no doubt be providing a warm and recognisable voice to guide viewers into the world of Princess Cruises."

The show will be aired at 8pm.
