Egencia taps Yapta for fare tracking alerts

Airfare and hotel rate tracking platform Yapta has unveiled a partner agreement with Expedia's corporate travel unit Egencia to offer an airfare tracking solution for customers.
Yapta's 'Fare Savings Finder' tracks activity for already booked flight itineraries and alerts agents to rebook when additional savings are discovered.
Yapta says research shows the  tracking technology produces average savings of $120 to up to $425 per booking off the originally price for Egencia customers.
"Businesses look to Egencia as an innovative leader, delivering key product and service offerings to its business travel client base.  Fare Savings Finder provides one more way that Egencia can deliver airfare savings without impacting the traveler experience. The solution also complements Egencia's continued pursuit of real-time data and insights." said James Filsinger, president and CEO of Yapta.
Egencia enables customers to 'action' savings as they happen providing real-time access to amended fares and hotel rates.
"The Fare Savings Finder is a key technology for Egencia customers looking to cut airfare costs now and in the future. Not only do customers have complete visibility into real-time airfare pricing, but the detailed information they need to negotiate future pricing with important airline suppliers," Filsinger added.
