Singapore Airlines announces changes to its loyalty programme

Singapore Airlines is introducing new benefits and rewards for the top tier of its KrisFlyer loyalty programme, PPS Club.

In future, PPS Club members will benefit from priority access to Saver Award redemption inventory, fast track security and immigration clearance at selected airports and the non-expiry of KrisFlyer miles.

In addition, members will have access to complimentary Preferred Seat selection when travelling in Premium Economy or Economy on SQ or Economy on SilkAir.

Also from June, the airline will roll out PPS Rewards, which is a selection of benefits such as double miles, redemption discounts and cabin upgrades for members travelling in premium classes.

From June 2018, the qualification criteria for Solitaire PPS Club - the highest tier within the PPS Club - will be reduced to a value of S$50,000 within a membership year. The criteria for renewal will be set at the same amount.

PPS Value required for qualification and renewal is currently set at S$250,000 over a maximum of five consecutive years, and S$25,000 per year, respectively. The renewal criteria of S$25,000 PPS Value will apply to all current Solitaire PPS Club members and members who qualify before June 2018, and will continue to apply as long as they remain Solitaire PPS Club members.

"The introduction of these new features were made in response to feedback from PPS Club members, and are part of ongoing improvements to the PPS programme," said Singapore Airlines' senior vice president of marketing planning, Tan Kai Ping.
