Strike warning for Azores airlines

Passengers flying with Azores Airlines and SATA Air Azores are being advised to check the status of their flight due to strike action planned for later this month.

The National Union of Cabin Crew has called for a walk-out on August 23, 24, 25, and 26.

As a result, both airlines - part of the SATA Group - are giving passengers the chance to switch their flights and are also extending their hours of operations to assist affected passengers.

The union says the action is over 'poor management' at the company and 'the way it treats its workers'.

It comes after strikes in May and again in June.
