RCI unveils new features on Independence of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International has unveiled a new feature, Sky Pad, that will be included onboard Independence of the Seas when she sets sail from Southampton in May.

Sky Pad is a new virtual reality, bungee trampoline experience where guests will wear virtual reality headset to transport them to another time and planet to bounce over moon craters or compete in intergalactic games.

It can also be enjoyed without virtual reality headsets.

The ship also has a host of other new features for kids, including racing waterslides, a larger interactive waterpark, and glow-in-the-dark laser tag.

It also has Puzzle Break, a new escape room experience where competitors work together to find hidden clues and solve a series of high-tech riddles to unravel a mystery.
