FCO updates travel advice for Israel following alleged air strikes

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has updated its travel advice for Israel following media reports claiming the risk of instability in the region has increased.

Russia, Syria and Iran have accused Israel of a strike on Syria on April 9 and the FCO said media reports suggest Iran has threatened to retaliate.

"Please follow advice from local authorities and stay informed of the security situation through the media and this travel advice," it said.

It also reminded travellers to sign up for its email alert service to be noticed of any changes to its travel advice.
